Unique images of Central Texas and beyond.
I was fortunate enough yesterday to spend the afternoon on Canyon Lake with my family. The weather was perfect and I shot a LOT of pictures that I’ll be posting throughout the week.
Another wonderful nature image – so many photosblogs have shots that make me want to go camping today.
gorgeous shot! lovely exposure.
What a mood! Where’s Canyon Lake?
Nice shot, Andy. Makes me want to go canoeing. Paddle along, peacefully, drop a trailing spinner and see if anything hits it…
surreal, just surreal, very good call on the black and white, wonderful shot.
Alec: Canyon Lake is an 8,230 surface acre reservoir located on the Guadalupe River in Comal County, Texas.
I love this style of image. You have the perfect elevation from the surface of the water, wonderfully ominous branches (with reflections) and excellent selective lighting. Needless to say, I love it.
Check out those clouds… Nice shot
Andy, this is fantastic. Composition, exposure, toning, the lot!!! Very, very good!
It’s got to be future photofriday somewhere along the line.
ahhh beautiful!!! I went to a lake weekend before last, there were lots of dead trees in the water but that area was too far away from where we were staying. I’m regretting not taking the opportunity now…
Hey…I know this place!! I grew up not to far from there and used to go to Canyon Lake almost every weekend during the summer
Interesting photo of the Canyon Lake. The composition of the trees and the dark tones in the image gives a sad and powerfool mood to it. I like it~
Beautiful shot. I love the tones in this image.
Fantastic ,very very beautiful!
I like this clouds ,the tree black .
A wonderful scene, like the moment before a storm. The composition with the trees is great.
stark and foreboding. it’s very moody, this was made for b&w.
Makes me wonder if that is one of thse price of progress lakes. No matter, still beautiful the way you have captured it.
Gorgeous, Andy! A stunner.
Another great one. The clouds are so dramatic. Looks like the dead trees in the foregroud are just waiting for a lighting to come down and end their misery. Fantastic.
Wow, that’s such a beautiful scene, black and white really brings the sky out with all its drama. Nicely done.
Stunning image – thanks for sharing it with the world.
Unbelievable – all of your work, really.
You work is captivating… I love it
