Contemplating the River Wild

After more than two weeks of heavy rain, the Blanco River is flowing abundantly. I’m glad we won’t be seeing a repeat of last summer when parts of the river dried up completely.

Both rivers have been fierce. I can't believe how much water this area is getting.

OK, Andy. This is a weird one. I keep coming back to it and try to to comment on it. But, it's half spooky and something else I can't figure out. I like the rich colors.

  6. Jasper says:

Nice. I like the dark upperpart.. where is this river going to? coming from?

  7. Claus says:

Cool combination of the fast flowing water, and the boy who's standing still!

    Great stuff!

  9. Jeff says:

Now this is a great image. The boy only adds to it. Beyond just soft rapids, the trees really add to the shot.

  10. jennifer says:

This is really cool. I like the contrast between the blur of the river and the sharpness of the boy

  11. Photo Buffet says:

It almost looks like the little boy is standing at the edge of a painting. What an evocative photo!

Ohhh what an amasing picture. The colors match so well. And the contrast between the boy, standing still and the massive running water. Sharpness and blur.
    Mannnnn it´s a fantastic photo.
How on earth did you do this? HDR? RAW-file tonemapping???
Thank you for that great pic :-)
