In the Place of the Collapse


I took a right turn in Nowhere and ended up right in the middle of it. Yet, a collapsed bridge, a hidden trestle, and a grizzly discovery (more about that later) made for a morning like no other. This was a sacred place, full of contradictions that invoked an odd fusion of peace and fear. I didn’t want to leave but was glad when I did.

    Did you use multiple exposures, by any chance? same question for the picture with the train. Thanks

    Thanks, everyone. Razvan, the two images in question are both single exposures. I shoot RAW which provides much more tonal data than jpg or tiff. This allows me to extract more detail from the shadow and highlight areas.
