Although this looks like a sunrise, it’s actually the light from a nearby power plant. I can usually see if from several miles away without any problems but on this particular morning, the fog was so thick that I couldn’t see the lights until I was practically at the front gate. The light falloff was so extreme (as evidenced by the vignette) that it just created a large orange bubble around the plant. There were a number of other things I wanted to photography around the plant that were bathed in this eerie light but I was already late for work and the camera was getting a pretty good soaking from the mist.
