Unique images of Central Texas and beyond.
I found this group of mussels on a piece of driftwood washed ashore by Hurricane Emily. I was amazed by their seemingly intentional formation of a flower-like shape.
Great find. Nature’s pretty amazing, isn’t it.
Technically, I’d wish for just a bit more of it in sharp focus.
What a bizarre formation! do you think they really wanted to be flowers??
I think they wanted to be a star but a couple of uninvited guests joined in.
I think one of them dropped a dime and now they’re fighting for it.
great color, composition and presenation. it looks like it belongs in a food magazine.
Wow- very interesting! The flower shape is the first thing I noticed – great find and shot
I can’t believe that you just found this. I thought for sure that you arranged them into that formation. Well done.
WOw nice colors ! Very interesting textures and line. I like this shot.
I came here through BE, very nice site, love all the picture!
I’ve added your link in my blog.
orange color on the edge is really bright and vivid…the shapes and lines in this shot work very well together…beautiful composition:-)
ooh nice, i’ve never seen mussels like that before! They really do look like a flower too.
So cool! I love the splash of orange as well.
cool, good and short dof, and a nice splash of colour as well. it would be abstract to me if you had named it differently.
