Despite living by the sea, I've never thought about doing a shot like this. I think it's because I'm too scared to get my camera soaked with salt water! I guess I'll have to have a go though, if this is the result. Excellent shot.

Dramatic scene capture. The colours and textures even effected fom the water are terrific.

There is such a feeling of power and emotion when the water is rushing ashore, and you've captured that so well here.

Thanks everyone. For those that are wondering how I kept the camera dry, the truth is that I didn't – at least not very well. The good news is that everything still works.

    fantastic!!

  21. Andy- It's been awhile since I've been here, but this shot is excellent. The deep color of the sand and the texture of the ripples make the shot so cool.

  22. Grant says:

That is such a refreshing shot! Hope the rather ominous looking sky doesn't mean your camera got soaked…

  23. Power in nature, … and plenty of power with this image.
This is excellent, and you used a perspective to show all of that power to its fullest!

  24. I really like the contrasting diagonals and mood in the sky. Conveys motion and power of nature well.

  32. Jac says:

A heartstopping image, Andy. Really draws me in. The forced perspective I guess does that and the leaden sky adds to the sense that there really is no escaping the power of nature. I salute your awesome talent. Your video tutorials really made me see how I am just scraping the surface of photoshop – you are a master – kudos to you.
